I founded Nana Torp film, just as i graduated from the Danish Academy og fine Arts, school of design and have worked full time exploring the boundaries of my work since. As a always curious person, i really like a new challenge and i love to learn new skills. My main focus is animated documentaries, where my goal is to convey science in a playful and engaging way.

The main themes in my work are:

> Documentary film, currently about the brain. Science and art is my favorite fusions

> Explainer videos. Animation is such a great way to communicate complex subjects in an engaging way

> Books. I have illustrated and/or written 18 books for children published on Gyldendal, Gad and Carlsen.

> Teaching and lectures. I love to teach film, but also - to discuss how and why we work with film and digital tools in schools. For a long time i was connected to the Danish film institute as a lecturer and teacher. Since then I have taught film across the country for both teachers and students, on The National Film School of Denmark, in Sweden and in the mountains of Peru (what a magic experience)

HOW I WORK

Since graduation from Danish school of fine arts and design in 2008, i have had my own animation company. I usually produce everything from storyboard, animation to final exported film in house, which gives a really nice and agile process. However i really love to collaborate too, so if the project requires i have a great team with various skills i hire on project basis.
